COVID-19 is a concern for all of us. We are honoring medical advisors’ recommendations to stay home and #flattenthatcurve. Each of us are looking forward to returning to our normal routines. What we may have taken for granted prior to the virus, such as spending time with friends, eating out, playing sports, attending concerts, and travel, are now dreams. They are dreams of life beyond the pandemic.
The virus kept us home, hence the production of “When I Dream of Visiting Charleston, I Dream of Charleston Beyond the Pandemic” began. In our documentary, our spokesperson, Lauren Cockrell will introduce viewers to some of our favorite venues throughout Charleston. The venues include historical and scenic locations, art galleries, boutiques, restaurants, and places to stay while visiting Charleston. Lauren will also interview and introduce viewers to local friends, artists, business managers and owners, and tourists.
“When I Dream of Visiting Charleston, I dream of…
sunset runs on the Arthur Ravenel Bridge, immersing in history on the Museum Mile, shopping on King Street,
art galleries that leave me inspired, luxury accommodations, legendary restaurants, magnificent scenery,
and an outstanding community of welcoming people.”
My team and I are not alone in our love for all things Charleston. In 2019, Travel + Leisure Readers Ranked Charleston, SC the No. 1 destination in the U.S., for the 7th Year in a row! In 2016 Charleston was ranked the #1 destination in the world.
These rankings are not surprising when you consider everything Charleston has to offer – charm filled community and people, amazing history, diverse culture, nationally recognized food, breathtaking scenery, elegant homes, cobblestone streets, waterfront views, and an abundance of flowering window boxes add to the outstanding aura that is Charleston.
Our current photography shoot date in Charleston is May 17th thru May 22nd, 2020. We will be capturing still images and videos, including remarkable aerial videos and stills.
Potential on-site locations include:
- Museums, such as The Charleston Museum, The Aiken-Rhett House Museum, Heyward-Washington House, Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum, Nathaniel Russell House…

Model, spokesperson & explorer
A frequent and curious traveler who loves history, meeting and befriending our diverse people and society. Learning from and sharing her experiences with others is an important part of who she is. From renowned art galleries to remote landscapes and all venues in between. Lauren is a great communicator, one on one or in a large group setting.
For Lauren a spokesperson/model is; “A person that represents a product, service or destination in a committed, confident, and positive way. Both verbally and visually. In a pleasing and unassuming way and thus naturally creating a call to action from others.”

Jim graduated from Radford University where he first studied photography using film cameras and learning time honored dark room techniques. Upon receiving his BS Degree, he then worked briefly as an assistant for two advertising photography studios; one in Richmond, VA and the other in Bethesda, MD.
It wasn’t until in 2004 that he began shooting in digital; and later in 2006, at the request of a Real Estate associate, began his career in panoramic photography shooting Virtual Tours. He quickly progressed on to filming hotels and commercial properties, which have now become the principal market for the studio.
