Charleston has been my favorite destination for many years. I have met some outstanding people, eaten at some great restaurants and captured some of my favorite images at historic locations, amazing venues and some of the best art galleries and shops in North America!
I am not alone in my love for all things Charleston. In 2019, Travel + Leisure Readers Ranked Charleston, SC the No. 1 destination in the U.S., for the 7th Year in a row? In 2016 Charleston was ranked #1 destination in the world!
Well deserved! When you consider everything, Charleston has to offer – charm filled community and people, amazing history, diverse culture, nationally recognized food, breathtaking scenery. Elegant homes, cobblestone streets, waterfront views, and an abundance of flowering window boxes add to the outstanding aura that is Charleston.
Due in part to the success of my recent aerial video production of “Birds Eye Tour of Charleston” I am partnering with other creative personalities to produce a new promotional video of Charleston. “When I Dream of Visiting Charleston, I Dream of…” Our concept includes an explorer/spokesperson, Lauren Cockrell who dreams of visiting Charleston. Lauren will introduce viewers to various venues throughout Charleston. Historical locations, art galleries, boutiques, restaurants, scenic locations and places to stay while visiting Charleston.
Although COVID-19 is a concern for all of us and has led to scheduling changes we are making very good progress. Our creative staff continues to grow. A frequent and curious traveler who loves history, meeting and befriending our diverse people and society. Learning from and sharing her experiences with others is an important part of who she is. From renowned art galleries to remote landscapes and all venues in between. Lauren is a great communicator, one on one or in a large group setting.
Jim graduated from Radford University where he first studied photography using film cameras and learning time honored dark room techniques. Upon receiving his BS Degree, he then worked briefly as an assistant for two advertising photography studios; one in Richmond, VA and the other in Bethesda, MD.
It wasn’t until in 2004 that he began shooting in digital; and later in 2006, at the request of a Real Estate associate, began his career in panoramic photography shooting Virtual Tours. He quickly progressed on to filming hotels and commercial properties, which have now become the principal market for the studio.
